THERAPEUTIC RECREATION

S.O.A.R. – Social Opportunities and Activities in Recreation.

Mission

The Manalapan Township Parks and Recreation Department is committed to providing safe, quality and affordable socialization and recreational opportunities to Manalapan residents with special needs. The department will achieve this through the following:

  1. Facilitating the Saturday Night Out program for adults with special needs
  2. Facilitating programs under the S.O.A.R. program umbrella for adults and children with special needs via athletics and socialization-focused programming. 
  3. Researching and providing additional recreation opportunities for individuals with special needs based on participant feedback and community needs. 

Vision

The Manalapan Township Parks and Recreation Department aims to serve, create and facilitate and be a destination for recreational opportunities for Manalapan residents with special needs.
