As blizzard conditions wind down, the Public Works crews are continuing the snow removal process. Snow clearing operations are difficult as we deal with over 20 inches of snow on over 180 miles of roadway throughout the Township. We have also had many downed trees and wires due to the amount and weight of the snow. Please be patient as this is a long duration clean up that will take days to fully complete.
Garbage will be collected for those with Tuesday collection but collection will start later in the morning. We don’t anticipate the garbage trucks to be in Manalapan until after 9am.
Though the State has lifted their travel restriction, motorists are strongly urged to avoid unnecessary travel and stay off all roadways if possible. NJ Transit bus services are still suspended at this time.
All Manalapan schools will be closed tomorrow. Senior Center activities will be cancelled. The Manalapan Recreation Center will also remain closed.
Stay safe and please use extreme caution when shoveling as this is very heavy snow.
