May is Older Americans Month – Join Us By Sharing Photos
Manalapan Township Senior Center Director, Elaine McNamara reminds all residents that May is Older Americans Month. Every May the Administration for Community Living leads our nation’s observance of Older Americans Month. The theme for 2021 is “Communities of Strength.”
This is an easy one for Manalapan Township! This month the Manalapan Senior Center is asking residents to actively participate and help share our Manalapan Township story, showing that we are proudly a “Community of Strength.” We celebrate and honor our own older adults. As our seniors are now starting to get out and emerge from the dark days of social isolation and inactivity brought on by the pandemic, many family and friends are reuniting, sharing overdue hugs and celebrating missed milestones.
To honor these reunions and tell our story, the Manalapan Senior Center is asking residents to submit photos by May 16th, showing the older adults in their lives, as we all celebrate these reunions with family & friends.
With the help of our Manalapan Television Coordinator, Jan Zachary, the Senior Center will create a photo slide show proudly showing off what makes Manalapan Township a “Community of Strength.” If you want to participate, please email your JPG photo by May 16th to email@example.com.
We plan to have this project completed and on the air by the end of the month. Should you have any questions, please call the Senior Center at 732-446-8401.
