Tax Payment Reminder

October 24, 2018

Fourth Quarter taxes are due November 1, 2018.  As per NJSA 54:4-67, the Township of Manalapan does permit a 10-day grace period.  However, since November 10th falls on a Saturday and Municipal Offices will be closed on Monday, November 12th in observance of Veteran’s Day, the grace period will be extended to Tuesday, November 13, 2018.   Payments received in our office or left in the drop box after 4:00 p.m. on November 13th will accrue interest charges calculated from the original due date of November 1st.

If you have received an Added Assessment bill(s) and are responsible for paying your own taxes, all Fourth Quarter stubs are due on November 1st  including the stub you received in July of this year.  If you have a mortgage company that pays taxes on your behalf and you are not sure if they will pay the Added Assessment(s), please contact them before making a payment.

The second half of the Homestead Benefit Credit has been applied to the Fourth Quarter Tax.  Adjusted tax bills were mailed to eligible homeowners in September 2018.  Any questions regarding this benefit should be directed to the State of New Jersey Division of Taxation at 1-888-238-1233.

There is a tax payment drop box on the Tax Collector’s office door which is available for one week prior to the due date through November 8th from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  On Fridays, the box will be available until 4:30 p.m.

Payments left in the drop box after 4:00 p.m. will be considered received as of the next business day.

The Tax Collector’s office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Office will have extended hours on Thursday, November 1st

from 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
